To preach and teach against the idolatry of smartphones and the dangers of technology! Smartphones are the #1 idol and #1 addiction in every developed nation. Even in countries that are impoverished, people tend to spend way more than their affordable portion of their income just to have one. It doesn’t matter where you go in this country, nearly every age are glued to these wicked little devices. It doesn’t matter their age, skin color, religion, nationality or any other factor. Like the zombie apocalypse but in real life.
It’s true that God loves every soul on this planet but what He’s primarily concerned with is the lifestyle of His people who claim to be Christians. And God hates idolatry. He doesn’t accept excuses. Most Christians I know and those I observe are no different from worldly people when it comes to smartphones. They are just as addicted. They will send your soul to hell and God will let you go. The true Christian lifestyle is one of separation from worldly ways and sinful vices that keep sinners bound by the devil. Your lifestyle is one of the primary things that is supposed to be different enough to inspire sinners to ask why you are different. If you say you are a Christian and your lifestyle is no different, you need to repent and get right with God and don’t even think about witnessing to them about Jesus. Otherwise, you are a hypocrite and heaping coals of fire on your own head. Like the Lord taught us, if the light that is in you be darkness, how great is that darkness. I cannot stress to you enough the very strong emphasis of what Jesus taught us about THE way being STRAIT AND NARROW that leads to eternal life and FEW there be that FIND it.
Remember, God doesn’t give suggestions. He gives commands. And it’s not optional as to whether or not you want to obey them! John 14:15 “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
